NEW YORK, Feb 28, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Jefferies & Company, Inc., the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced that David W. Schwartz, an Executive Vice President, has been named Director of High Yield Sales & Trading.
Mr. Schwartz, 37, will continue to report to Richard B. Handler, Chairman and CEO of Jefferies, and is based in the firm's Stamford, Connecticut office.

Mr. Schwartz has been a member of Jefferies' high yield team for eight years and previously worked at Prudential Securities and Paine Webber. He graduated with honors from Yale University in 1987 with a B.A. in Economics.
