(NYSE: JEF), today announced that it will host its Gaming, Lodging, Media & Entertainment Conference on May 8-10 in Las Vegas. The conference will explore relevant themes and trends, including media and entertainment companies' increasing interests in new vertical industries as a way to leverage their existing content, as well as the movement by fast-growing gaming companies to continue their expansion of non-gaming revenues. Given the overlapping ownership of, and increasing connection within these areas, this conference will provide investors with a unique perspective into the fast-paced world of convergence, partnerships, alliances and potential consolidation among these sectors. While the list of participants is expected to grow, more than 60 companies are scheduled to make presentations and be available for investor meetings. Roy Furman, Vice Chairman of Jefferies & Company, Inc. and longtime media industry expert, will open the conference on May 8th.
