Jefferies Adds Senior Technology Research Analyst; Brian White Enhances Firm's Technology Research Practice with Coverage of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)

NEW YORK, Mar 28, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Jefferies & Company, Inc., the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced the hiring of Brian J. White, CFA, as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst to cover the Electronics Manufacturing Services, or EMS, industry. Mr. White is a Chartered Financial Analyst with 15 years of experience in the securities industry. He has been focused on the EMS industry for eight years.

The hiring of Mr. White extends Jefferies' established coverage of the technology sector. The firm's technology research team now consists of twelve equity analysts covering more than 150 companies in the U.S. and Europe. With the addition of Mr. White, Jefferies now covers the following technology industries: communications equipment, infrastructure & enterprise applications software, Internet & new media, government & commercial IT services, healthcare IT services, semiconductors, and electronics manufacturing services. This continued expansion of resources demonstrates Jefferies' overall commitment to this strategic and thriving segment of the world economy.

Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. White covered EMS and Supply Chain as a Senior Analyst at Kaufman Bros., L.P. for more than two years, and at Merrill Lynch & Co. for four years. Previously, Mr. White covered EMS and Embedded Computing among other technology industries at SG Cowen, and he began his career at Smith Barney as a Financial Consultant. Mr. White received an MBA with honors from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University with a concentration in finance and accounting, and a BS in Finance from Arizona State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honor society.

Mr. White will be based in Jefferies' New York headquarters office.
