JEFFERIES ADDS SENIOR INDUSTRIALS ANALYST IN LONDON

John Dean Enhances Firm's Global Coverage Of Industrial Sector


LONDON and NEW YORK, 19 June 2007 -- Jefferies International Limited, the UK subsidiary of US-based Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced the hiring of John Dean as a Senior Equity Research Analyst covering industrial companies in the UK and in Europe. Mr. Dean will be located in the Firm’s London office, where Jefferies has over 300 investment banking, sales, trading & research and asset management professionals.

Mr. Dean has 19 years of sell-side experience as a research analyst covering small and mid-cap industrial, engineering, and energy technology companies. He joins a team of 9 research professionals in New York, whose global coverage includes aerospace & defense, clean technology, construction & engineering, distribution, diversified industrials, electrical, electronic equipment, industrial services, machinery, manufacturing, metals, multi-industry, paper & packaging and chemicals among others.

In addition to this dedicated research effort, Jefferies’ broader focus on the industrial sector includes 6 securities traders and over 30 investment banking professionals, bringing to bear on the sector resources from all of the Firm’s major offerings.

Mr. Dean was most recently an Industrials and Energy Technology analyst at Altium Securities. Previously, he was an Engineering Analyst with a focus on mid-cap securities at Bridgewell Securities. Mr. Dean covered small and mid-cap companies and served as Global Coordinator of the Energy Technology Research group at UBS Warburg. He was also Head of Engineering Research at Albert E. Sharp. He began his career focused on Engineering research at Wise Speke. He has a B.A. in Business Law from Heriot-Watt University and an S.I.E. Diploma (now UK SIP Investment Management Certificate).
