Mr. Thees joins an established team of more than 100 professionals serving more than 3,000 institutional clients and trading in more than 3,000 individual issues.
Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. Thees was most recently Chief Operating Officer for MarketAxess Corporation. Previously, he was with Morgan Stanley for approximately 17 years, where he held a variety of trading and origination roles, most recently managing director and head of investment grade trading in North America. Mr. Thees also held various positions at Goldman Sachs and Citibank. He was Chairman of the Investment Grade Committee of The Bond Market Association from 2000 to 2005, and served on the BMA Board of Director from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Thees received an AB in International Relations from Georgetown University, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar.
