Stephen Grahling to Lead Growing Team
Also joining Jefferies are Michael Dorsey as a Senior Vice President and Trader, and Ted Chen as a Vice President and Analyst, both most recently at Citigroup. The hiring of Messrs. Grahling, Dorsey and Chen, combined with Jefferies' existing special situations team comprised of Andrew Baker, a Senior Vice President and Analyst, and Brian Smith, a Senior Vice President and Trader, creates a new Event Driven Desk within Jefferies' Equity Division.

Jefferies' Event Driven Desk will complement the Firm's Equity Strategy Team, which has been focused on client-centric information flow and ideas that include post-reorganization, spin-offs and distressed equities.
Mr. Grahling has been on Wall Street for nearly 18 years, the last 13 of which he spent in the risk arbitrage business. Prior to Citigroup, he was a managing director and Head of Risk Arbitrage at Wachovia Securities, where he also started that firm's risk arbitrage business. Mr. Grahling received a BA from Wesleyan University.
