JEFFERIES TO HOLD HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF DAY ON JANUARY 15TH

NEW YORK, January 14, 2010 -- Jefferies announced today that the firm will donate all net commissions and volunteered salaries from January 15th, plus $1 million, for relief efforts associated with the recent earthquake in Haiti. The contribution will be split evenly between The American Red Cross, UNICEF, Save the Children and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) for relief efforts directly involved with the aftermath of the earthquake.

One hundred percent of the firm's net commission revenues globally, as well as voluntary salaries for the day, plus an additional $1 million from the firm will be donated to assist in rescue and relief efforts."
