JEFFERIES EXPANDS GLOBAL CONSUMER INVESTMENT BANKING GROUP

NEW YORK, January 21, 2010 – In a further expansion of its Global Consumer Investment Banking Group, Jefferies announced today the appointment of Nigel Bell as a Managing Director. Mr. Bell will focus on the Consumer Products Sector.

Mr. Bell joins Jefferies from J.P. Morgan, where he was a Managing Director in the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group. Mr. Bell has 15 years of investment banking experience at J.P. Morgan and Rothschild with a focus on consumer products companies.
