JEFFERIES ADDS TO EUROPEAN CREDIT SALES AND TRADING EFFORT

Jean-Marc Zaffran and Tom Jenkins Join in London

LONDON and NEW YORK, 31 March 2010 – In a further expansion of the firm's Global Credit Sales and Trading business, Jefferies announced today the hiring of Jean-Marc Zaffran as a Managing Director and International Credit Salesperson and Tom Jenkins as a Senior Vice President and International Credit Analyst.

In a joint statement, Tim Cronin, Global Head of Jefferies' Fixed Income Group, and Jon Pliner, Head of Jefferies' European Credit Business, commented, "We are excited to welcome Jean-Marc and Tom to Jefferies. Their broad and diverse experience and relationships will help to significantly extend Jefferies' reach and add immediate value to our clients globally."

Mr. Jenkins joins Jefferies from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he spent five years and was a Director and Senior Financial Analyst. He held similar roles at ABN Amro and Standard & Poor's. Mr. Zaffran joins Jefferies from Merrill Lynch, where he spent six years and was most recently Managing Director and Head of Emerging Market Fixed Income Sales. Previously, he was Founder of Mac Futures, a joint venture between Mac Futures and Refco Securities.
