Mr. Heske joins Jefferies from Guggenheim Securities, where he was responsible for trading airline EETCs and ETCs as well as aircraft and engine securitization issues. Previously, he was a vice president in fixed income at Piper Jaffray, specializing in the analysis and sales of airline and aircraft-backed securities. Mr. Heske brings a total of 15 years of fixed income experience to Jefferies, including positions he held at Societe Generale and Bear Stearns.
Mr. Palen also joins Jefferies with 15 years experience in the transportation financing sector, specializing in the structuring, restructuring and trading of airline, railroad and leasing company debt securities. He was most recently a managing director at Guggenheim Securities, responsible for the sales, trading and structuring of airline and transportation securities. Previously, he was a director at Credit Suisse, responsible for the execution of secured capital market transactions for transportation clients. Mr. Palen has led over 30 public and private financing transactions for US airlines, railroads and global aircraft leasing companies and has worked on numerous restructuring and advisory assignments in the sector.
Mr. Wallach joins Jefferies with over 25 years of airline/aircraft financing experience in sales, trading and capital markets activities. Most recently, he was managing director at Guggenheim Securities, where he was responsible for sales, trading and structuring of airline and aircraft securities. Prior to that firm, Mr. Wallach was a managing director in fixed income at Piper Jaffray, responsible for airline/aircraft capital markets and secondary sales. Previously, he held senior-level positions with CIT Aerospace Group, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Bankers Trust and as Vice President – Finance for CS Aviation, an aircraft/engine leasing company.
