JEFFERIES ENHANCES US EQUITY CAPITAL MARKETS EFFORT

Ashley Delp to Head US Equity Syndicate, David Bohn to Head Private Placements

NEW YORK, May 11, 2010 -- In the further expansion of the firm's Equity Capital Markets business, Jefferies today announced the addition of Ashley Delp as Managing Director and Head of US Equity Syndicate, and David Bohn as Managing Director and Head of Private Placements. Ashley Delp will manage the firm's syndication process for US public equity offerings, including initial public offerings, 144a offerings, public follow-ons and equity block trades. David Bohn will be responsible for the origination and execution of all equity private placements, including registered directs, PIPEs, private equity-linked financings and equity financings for private companies.

Ashley Delp joins Jefferies from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was a Managing Director and spent 12 of her 14 years in Equity Capital Markets, including 6 years in Equity Syndicate. During her tenure at that firm, Ashley acted as deal captain on over 200 bookrun equity transactions, raising over $100 billion in proceeds for corporate clients across a wide range of industries. Ashley received her BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.

David Bohn brings to Jefferies 12 years of experience in originating and executing equity private placements, most recently at Cowen & Company, where he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Private Placements, and at Citigroup, where he was a Managing Director in investment banking specializing in equity private placements. During his career, David has been involved in originating and executing approximately 100 equity private placements. David received an MBA from Columbia University and his BA from Villanova University.
