JEFFERIES EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL CREDIT SALES AND TRADING

Paul Grimsey and David Simms Join as Senior Traders in London

LONDON and NEW YORK, 17 June 2010 -- Jefferies today announced the appointment of Paul Grimsey and David Simms as Senior Traders in Jefferies' European Sales and Trading Credit business.

Jon Pliner, Head of Jefferies' European Credit Sales and Trading, commented, "We are delighted to welcome Paul Grimsey and David Simms to Jefferies. Their extensive experience and historical relationships will add immediate value to Jefferies' institutional clients globally."

Paul joins Jefferies to head the firm's Sterling credit business. He has over 25 years experience in the Sterling market, gained at investment banks including Dresdner Kleinwort, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.

David has over seventeen years of industry experience, most recently as a Senior Portfolio Manager at European Credit Management. Previously, he spent ten years at Merrill Lynch in London and Tokyo where he was Head of Financials Trading and the Asset Swap Book. Before his tenure at Merrill Lynch, he trained as a Chartered Accountant at Coopers and Lybrand Deloitte and received a BSC Economics first class from Bristol University.
